AACC Christmas Message 2025 – Arise and Shine: Christ Our Light Has Come!

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you… Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.” – Isaiah 60:1–3

Dear Beloved in Christ,

Receive warm Christmas greetings from the All Africa Conference of Churches. We are grateful to God for sustaining us this far and welcome this year’s Christmas season with hearts expectant that He will use this time to replenish us, enabling us to continue serving Him and humanity with renewed hope and strength. As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, we rejoice in God’s love revealed as a light that pierces every shadow and the Glory of God rising upon His people.

This year’s celebrations find many of us amidst challenges and uncertainties, yet we recognize the countless ways God’s light continues to shine in our lives, families, and nations, giving us every reason to celebrate the birth of Emmanuel - God with us – as we await His second coming with reassurance. We have witnessed remarkable signs of hope through our young people shining with creativity and innovation, nations fostering Pan-African unity through trade and cooperation, and several of our cities, cultures, and heritage sites gaining global recognition, reflecting the richness and potential God has placed in our continent. Throughout the year, various acts of compassion and solidarity have also transformed lives, affirming that Christ’s glory is present among us. We thank God for all these and more!

It is my prayer that God uses this Christmas holiday to strengthen our faith, renew our visions for a better world and enable us rise above the trials we face and shine Christ’s light, love, and hope in our homes, communities, and nations.
