AACC 2025 Annual Report Highlights Growing Impact of Ecumenism Across Africa

The All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC) has officially released its 2025 Annual Report, highlighting a year of growing ecumenical impact, strengthened partnerships, and transformative engagement across Africa.

The report showcases how the fellowship continued to bring churches together for life, peace, justice, and dignity through initiatives implemented under the AACC 2024–2028 Strategy. Throughout the year, the AACC accompanied member churches and communities in addressing critical issues including peacebuilding, youth participation, ecological and economic justice, health and healing, migration, gender justice, advocacy, and sustainable development.

The report demonstrates the continental reach of the fellowship, with in-person activities implemented in 23 African countries and religious leaders from more than 44 African countries engaged through various ecumenical initiatives, campaigns, consultations, networks, and capacity-strengthening programmes.

Institutionally, 2025 marked a significant milestone as the AACC successfully cleared its long-standing loan and was declared debt-free. In addition, the AACC Board of Trustees approved the reconstruction and modernization of the Desmond Tutu Conference Centre (DTCC). The project will transform the facility into a modern hospitality and conference complex, strengthening the organization’s long-term sustainability and enhancing its capacity to host regional and international events.

"As I present this report, it is my prayer that it serves not only as documentation of our activities and impact, but also as a testimony of God’s faithfulness and a call to continued engagement in the mission of the church in Africa and beyond." Writes the AACC General Secretary, Rev. Dr. Fidon Mwombeki, in the foreword.
