African Union Chairperson H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssof Celebrates Young People as They gather in Nairobi.

In his goodwill message, the chairperson for the African Union Commission extended his heartfelt greetings to all the participants of the second Africa Youth Congress organized by the All Africa Conference of Churches in Nairobi. The conference themed: Africa: My Home. My Future. is officially scheduled to start today at the AACC headquarters, gathering over 500 youth delegates from the all African States and the diaspora.

The AU Chairperson noted that it was inspiring to witness young people across the continent gather in one place to reflect, pray, dialogue and take action on issues that shape our collective destiny. “This Congress is a movement of hearts and hands, a movement of African youth ready to build the Africa we want.” Said the Commission’s Chairperson in his goodwill message.

He urged the young people to remember that they are not only participants in a conference but architects of a new chapter in our shared history. “The African Union stands beside you as a partner and champion of youth leadership, innovation, and participation in every sphere of life; from governance to entrepreneurship, from peacebuilding to environmental stewardship,” affirmed H.E Mahmoud Ali Youssof

He finished by giving a warm welcome and wished for fruitful deliberations. Highlighting that together, we can turn the dream of “Africa: My Home. My Future” into a living reality.
